{"id":141,"date":"2019-06-12T12:06:00","date_gmt":"2019-06-12T12:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usmanandpartners.com\/blog\/?p=141"},"modified":"2026-03-17T12:07:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T12:07:31","slug":"couple-in-api-api-assault-case-comes-forward-to-tell-the-truth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usmanandpartners.com\/blog\/couple-in-api-api-assault-case-comes-forward-to-tell-the-truth\/","title":{"rendered":"Couple in Api-Api assault case comes forward to tell the truth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KOTA KINABALU: The recent assault case of a married couple in Api-Api Centre has taken a twist as the family of the accused has now claimed that the viral closed-circuit television camera (CCTV) footage of the \u2018fight\u2019 had only shown one side of the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mohd Serman Hassnar claimed that the video of him and his family members allegedly beating up a Pakistani man and his wife over what was suspected to be a property rental-related issue, was misleading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Serman said in fact it was the Pakistani man who started the fight and not him and his family \u2013 contrary to what was portrayed in the CCTV footage, which had since went viral on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident then led to the arrest of Serman, along with his father Asainar @ Hassnar M.P.
